From associates to children in need
18th November 2009

Sarah York, who works in Customer Service at Waltham asked associates to help her hit a very important target for Christmas - to fill 100 shoeboxes with gifts for needy local children. For the last five years she has been collecting filled boxes in aid of the Operation Christmas Child Samaritan’s Purse. Sarah’s mum, who worked at Melton for 20 years, co-ordinates the collection of boxes and delivers them to local drop-off points.

“Every year I collect more and more boxes as the word spreads,” said Sarah. “And I have my ‘regulars’, who always do one or two boxes every year. The team’s generosity is astonishing.
“This year too, Wrigleys kindly gave us boxes Starburst. We aimed at collecting 100 boxes, which will make such a difference to children’s lives at Christmas.”
