Digging deep for local school garden

Summer 2012

Team members from Mars Food UK have been rejuvenating the garden at Asfordby Hill Primary School. Six associates planted soft fruit and herbs in four raised beds, so that the children will be able to harvest their own produce all year. Elaine Donohoe said “we all worked so hard and using traditional tools instead of power tools made for a truly organic experience, despite the pain at the end of the day! We were delighted to help promote home-grown produce to the children and look forward to hearing what they will cook their harvest later in the year.”
